FRANCE: Ongoing strikes in France

There’s been a series of ongoing strikes in France since 07 March. New days of mobilisation may be announced by French unions at short notice. The next one will take place on Tuesday 6 June. It will not impact our timetable and our trains will run as normal on that day.

If we need to make timetable changes on other strike days, be sure that we will keep you informed as soon as more information becomes available.

Important update on Kent stations

We can confirm that our trains won’t stop at Ebbsfleet International or Ashford International in 2023, and we cannot make any commitments for another two to three years.

We appreciate that this will be disappointing news, and we’ll continue to work closely and openly with the local councils on the future of the stations.

Why can’t Eurostar reopen the Kent stations?

Although our recovery is progressing well, we have financial commitments following the pandemic.

Travel between the UK and Europe has also been complicated by Brexit. And the launch of the EU’s Entry/Exit System is expected to add further complexity.

For the coming years, we’ll need to focus on our most profitable routes so that we meet our financial commitments, while offering the best customer experience.

Once again, we apologise for any disappointment this will cause.
