UK rail strike on Saturday 08 October 2022

There will be a national strike across the UK railway network on Saturday 08 of October.

Although the strike action does not involve Eurostar staff, Eurostar timetables are impacted because running hours have been reduced on UK rail lines, including the high-speed line we use.

IF YOUR CUSTOMERS ARE TRAVELLING ON SATURDAY 08 OCTOBER

We’ll be running a reduced timetable on Saturday 08 October.
To find out if a train is running or cancelled, or if the departure and arrival times have changed, please check the revised timetable.

You can offer a free exchange or a full refund to your customers whose train has been cancelled. AOP will be activated on Monday 03 of October morning.

Further information regarding the exchange or refund procedures is available here.

If your customer’s Eurostar train is departing at a different time, please inform them that they have to download their ticket again for up-to-date information and arrive at the station at the recommended time shown on their updated ticket.

If your customer’s Eurostar train is still scheduled to run, please advise them that there will be major disruption to local railway traffic in the UK, which may affect connecting journeys.

  • If your customers prefer to postpone their journey to avoid potential disruptions, you can offer them a free exchange.
  • If they do choose to travel, please ask them to plan their journey to/from London St Pancras International carefully and to allow extra time.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
