SNCF Rail strike

As a consequence of SNCF strikes in France, on 23/24 APR some Eurostar train services will cancelled. Please also see service updates for services NOT stopping in Ashford from 16 APR to 27 APR.

SNCF Rail strike - cancellations 3rd and 4th April.

Disruption 03/04/2018 and 04/04/2018 due to SNCF industrial action in France

The following trains will be cancelled on 03/04/2018:

From Paris to London

  • Train 9007: departing at 07:04
  • Train 9015: departing at 09:04
  • Train 9019: departing at 10:07
  • Train 9051: departing at 18:07
  • Train 9055: departing at 19:07

From London to Paris

  • Train 9080: departing at 05:40
  • Train 9008: departing at 07:55
  • Train 9028: departing at 13:31
  • Train 9040: departing at 16:31
  • Train 9048: departing at 18:31

From Brussels/Lille to London

  • Train 9117: departing at 08:52
  • Train 9153: departing at 17:56

From London to Lille/Brussels

  • Train 9116: departing at 08:54
  • Train 9132: departing at 12:58

The following trains will be cancelled on 04/04/2018:

From Paris to London

  • Train 9007: departing at 07:04
  • Train 9013: departing at 08:37
  • Train 9039: departing at 15:07
  • Train 9051: departing at 18:07
  • Train 9055: departing at 19:07

From London to Paris

  • Train 9080: departing at 05:40
  • Train 9008: departing at 07:55
  • Train 9040: departing at 16:31
  • Train 9046: departing at 18:01
  • Train 9048: departing at 18:31

From Brussels/Lille to London

  • Train 9117: departing at 08:52
  • Train 9153: departing at 17:56

From London to Lille/Brussels

  • Train 9116: departing at 08:54
  • Train 9152: departing at 18:04


Passengers affected by these cancellations can apply for a full refund or a free exchange through their original point of sale within 60 days of their departure date.

Through-fares
Passengers who have booked a through-fare to/from the French Provinces on a planned strike date can also exchange their tickets for free or obtain a refund at their original point of sale, irrespective of the Eurostar service they are scheduled to travel on, as we cannot guarantee the operation of specific TGV services.

Disney
Please note that the direct Disney trains are not cancelled, but they will be re-routed via Paris Nord. More information on this route will follow tomorrow.

Outbound Disney:

This train will depart at 10:14 from London St. Pancras, 10:34 from Ebbsfleet, 10:58 from Ashford International

Inbound Disney:

This train will arrive in Ashford International at 20:08, Ebbsfleet at 20:27 and London at 20:44


GDS BOOKINGS

Passenger wishes to exchange their ticket for another day

To exchange ticket if it is PRIOR to the booked travel date and time

  • Rebook the same booking class on the new date if available.
  • If the original booking class is not available, book the next available booking class within the same cabin class.
  • Update the SI field with the following messaging - SI 9F INVOL DATE CHANGE DUE TO sncf strikes 3 / 4 April
  • There is no need to collect the additional fare or exchange fee.
  • IMPORTANT: The exchange and reissue must be completed before the train is due to depart.

To exchange ticket if it is PAST the original booked travel date and time

  • Create a new booking and ticket as normal
  • The original ticket can be refunded via BSP link for the affected sector (please include details of the new PNR and ticket number on the application)
  • If the new booking is at a higher cost, email ticket numbers and booking reference for both original and new booking to gds.helpdesk@eurostar.com requesting that the fare difference be refunded via an ACM.
  • IMPORTANT: The new ticket must be booked in a new PNR

Passenger requests a refund

Please submit a request via BSP link and enter “Requested due to Cancellation 03/04/2018 or 04/04/2018" in the notes including the train number.

ELGAR BOOKINGS

Passenger wishes to exchange their ticket for another day

Please create a new booking and ticket as normal and send an email to eurostar4agents@eurostar.com with booking references for the original and new bookings and your Business / BAF account number. A refund will then be processed for the fare difference.

Please email eurostar4agents@eurostar.com with original booking reference and your Business / BAF account number. A refund will then processed.
